The Galleries of Historic Las Vegas

The Historic Las Vegas Bridge Street District is home to SEVEN soon-to-be NINE glorious galleries, and THREE of them already have an online presence…

Gallery 140 – 140 Bridge Street
Online Galleries HERE

Las Vegas Arts Council’s Gallery 140 at 140 Bridge Street has a new show almost every month.  This scene is from “Heavy Metal” and we are showing “fine fibers” right now.

A nonprofit community gallery, we exhibit and sell a wide variety of art every year, preserving and expanding both the historic and contemporary arts and culture of our region.

El Zócalo

1809 Plaza

An artist-owned and artist-
operated gallery of some 25 diverse local artists working in 2-D, jewelry, assemblage, clay, silverwork, fiber arts, beading, turned wood, gourd art, mosaic, pressed flower art, and more.

Tito’s Gallery
at 157 Bridge Street
on Etsy…click here!

Tito’s Gallery is on the Santa Fe Trail in Old Town Las Vegas, NM and features many consignment artists as well as Tito’s own hand-made gold and silver jewelry. Fine art and folk art find a home here as well as Native American jewelry, pottery, paintings in several media, prints, dolls, and ornaments.

Meadow City Plaza is an online store curated by multidisciplinary artist Ras Zakarias. This shop will share five limited edition items at a time, currently featuring designs for Ras Zakarias Art focused on roots and culture, and uplifting vibrations.  Stay informed about the newest mixes, releases, and events.  Ras Zakarias also painted the Antonia Apodaca mural in the Bridge Street Breezeway, Love Musica on 12th and National, and murals in our beautiful Gallinas River Park.

Melody DeBenedictis
Running Horses Studio
is online AND on wheels!  The Little Red Roan is, in fact a moving mural.  When she is not in the studio painting, Melody also writes music, playing guitar and performing music and riding her horses.

UpCycled Fashion
is proudly a small
art studio, working with the community to use materials in a sustainable way.  The organization employs and supports entrepreneurs/designers in rural New Mexico.  Owner Anita Moss is a most creative entrepreneur, artist, designer, photographer and community organizer.  Her memory quilts and cuddlies have comforted many families in her beloved Mora Valley.

For more about Las Vegas, NM click HERE.  Our antique stores attract national attention (see the NM listing), and all have art as well.  Click here for a tour of a few of our galleries.

Music, film, theater and dance are also celebrated in the original Las Vegas.
Watch our Community Events page to stay up-to-date!

P.S.  This listing is a work in progress.  With four new galleries opening in this historic district, we will add information as quickly as possible.

It’s risky to make a list…so please check for what we’ve missed and include address. Thank you!
