Las Vegas Arts Council regrets to announce that Missoula Children’s Theatre is not returning to Las Vegas this year, It would have been our 36th consecutive annual event.

Beginning March 24, in alignment with Gov. Lujan-Grisham’s directive, New Mexico Highlands University’s main campus and centers closed until further notice.
In addition, The Department of Health requirements for summer youth programs made it impossible for us to recreate the experience for anywhere near the number that usually participate, and of course, Ilfeld Auditorium is still closed. Without the usual number and the usual venue, and in order to abide by Missoula‘s special safety requirements, the LVAC board agreed that we should cancel.
SO, HERE’S THE GOOD NEWS!
We are still absolutely committed to developing and promoting theater experiences for the children and youth in our community. We have plans we are working on and we will keep you informed. As a community we have survived much, we can do this!
The show must go on! The future is still amazing!
In the meantime, thank you for last year, and thank you for the last 35 years.
Thank you, New Mexico Highlands University for making this dream a reality for 35 years, and all your support helping our kids “reach a new stage.”
