West Las Vegas High School Art, presented by arts educator McKaila Weldon Dunlap, provided all the art for our annual event. Thanks to Covid-19, our plans (along with everyone else’s) were postponed, reconsidered, reorganized, and are now (drum roll, please, publicly presented. for the first time!
Congratulations to all the artists participating.
Awards will be presented in several categories, courtesy of the Las Vegas Rotary Club and Sunrise Kiwanis. Special thanks to the local professional artists and art educators that helped select the prize winners.

“Perfectly Imperfect Aspects of Space”

This piece is made from clay using carving and adding clay techniques and is glazed with a variety of speckled and sold color glazes.
The overall concept is to show how space is perfectly imperfect. For Example, space is thought of as perfect despite the fact that there are mixtures and random specs of color that would normally be seen as mistakes.
