New Mexico Places, Photography by June Bowers

June Bowers, known to family as Lavada June Bowers lived in Rociada, NM, for many years and photographed a wide array of New Mexico subjects, including buildings, landforms, plants, streams, vehicles, and equipment.  Viewed together, these images portray our part of the world with great accuracy and sensitivity.  Read her Artist’s Statement; these are her own words.

Ms. Bowers generously donated many of her framed photographs to the Las Vegas Arts Council before she retired to Arkansas, and we are pleased to exhibit them and offer them for sale to benefit the programs of the Council, including the many art shows we usually mount each year.

Each of these framed photographs is available for a $50 donation to the Arts Council, and is available immediately.  View a slideshow of her work here.

We hope you enjoy June Bowers’s work, and that you will support the Arts Council by adding one of these fine photographs to your collection.  We are (normally) open from 1:00 – 4:00 pm, Tuesday through Saturday at 140 Bridge Street in Historic Las Vegas, NM.  At the moment we are closed for the coronavirus duration.

If you would like to view any directly, please make an appointment so we can get the work out of inventory for you to see.  Call 505-425-1085 or email us.
