TLC – The Literacy Council of Northeastern New Mexico

The mission of the state-wide New Mexico Coalition for Literacy is to coordinate, expand, and enhance New Mexico programs so adults can read and write to achieve their goals.

Locally, The Literacy Council of Northeastern New Mexico is focused on adult and family literacy, offering one-to-one tutoring to improve reading, writing, English comprehension, and related educational services.

They raise funds and then coordinate wonderful, fun-filled events with playful-while-instructive activities, games, and book giveaways, like this one!

If you would like to contact TLC, volunteer, donate, or generally appreciate them, email here.

The latest and greatest outreach coordinated by The Literacy Council is called the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is gifting quality books to children from birth until they begin school, no matter their family’s income.
