PEOPLE’S FAIRE GETS NEW NAME, NEW DATE, NEW LOCATION
After forty-four years, the Las Vegas Arts Council’s beloved annual showcase of local and regional art and crafts is getting a makeover, with a new name, The People’s Festival of Art and Culture, a new location, in the Historic Railroad Avenue District, and a new date, September 26th.
The Las Vegas Arts Council is working in collaboration with the Main Street de Las Vegas Arts and Cultural District to introduce and promote the recently rejuvenated Historic Railroad Avenue District as an additional center of creative economic activity in Las Vegas. The Festival space will encompass Railroad Avenue from the Castaneda Hotel to Jackson Avenue, a half block of Lincoln Avenue, and the Train Station parking area. Additionally, the empty lot at Railroad and Lincoln will offer covered seating where Festivalgoers can comfortably experience live music and other creative forms while enjoying an assortment of delicious fare offered by restaurants in the district and several food trucks on Festival grounds.
The People’s Festival of Art and Culture’s new location can accommodate up to eighty-one vendors and ten nonprofit booths. Booth prices remain unchanged from last year. Vendors and nonprofits interested in getting a booth at the Festival may request Vendor Registration information from the Arts Council at:
